Tehran, March 22: The President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, Pirhossein Kolivand, stated that since the onset of aggressive actions against Iran, the United States and Israel have attacked over 80,000 civilian locations.
Speaking to foreign media representatives, Kolivand highlighted violations of international humanitarian law during these attacks, as reported by Xinhua News Agency.
According to Kolivand, more than 20,000 of the targeted locations are in Tehran, while over 60,000 are spread across other areas.
He reported that approximately 18,790 businesses have been hit, along with 266 medical centers and 498 schools. Tragically, these assaults have resulted in the deaths of 12 Iranian healthcare workers and left more than 90 injured.
Since the war began, hundreds of lives have been lost, including children and 231 women. Some media reports suggest that over 1,500 individuals have died in the conflict thus far.
Meanwhile, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed to have targeted an Israeli F-16 fighter jet in the central airspace of the country. According to Iranian state media, Tehran’s military also attacked fuel tanks of military aircraft near Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv.
Ibrahim Zolfaghari, spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters, warned that if attacks on southern Iranian islands from the United Arab Emirates continue, actions could be taken against Ras Al Khaimah. He stated, “As we have previously mentioned and demonstrated, we will respond to every attack on our country and sovereignty from the location it originated.”
Notably, on February 28, Israel and the US jointly attacked Tehran and several other Iranian cities, resulting in the deaths of Iran’s former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, several senior military officials, and civilians. In retaliation, Iran launched missile and drone strikes on Israeli and US positions in the Middle East.
