
New Delhi, April 26: In IPL 2026, two exciting matches took place on Sunday. The first match featured Delhi Capitals (DC) against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at 3:30 PM, followed by Rajasthan Royals (RR) facing Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at 7:30 PM in Jaipur.
In the first match, Punjab Kings successfully chased a record target of 265 runs. Meanwhile, SRH achieved a target of 229 runs in the second match.
Let’s take a look at the current standings after the RR and SRH match, along with who holds the Orange and Purple Caps.
Punjab Kings continue to dominate the points table, sitting at the top with 13 points from 7 matches. Royal Challengers Bangalore follows in second place with 10 points from 7 matches, while Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals are tied for third and fourth, respectively, both also with 10 points but from 8 matches.
Chennai Super Kings hold the fifth position with 6 points from 7 matches, followed by Delhi Capitals in sixth, Gujarat Titans in seventh, Mumbai Indians in eighth, Lucknow Super Giants in ninth, and Kolkata Knight Riders at the bottom in tenth place, all with varying points.
Despite having the same points, the rankings differ due to net run rate.
The Orange Cap is currently held by SRH’s opener Abhishek Sharma. He scored 57 runs off 29 balls against RR, bringing his total to 380 runs in 8 innings, including 36 fours and 28 sixes.
KL Rahul is in second place with 357 runs from 7 innings, while Vaibhav Suryavanshi is third, also with 357 runs from 8 innings.
It’s noteworthy that both Rahul and Vaibhav scored centuries on Sunday, but their teams faced defeats. Rahul scored an unbeaten 152 runs off 67 balls against Punjab, while Vaibhav made 103 runs off 37 balls against Hyderabad.
The Purple Cap is with CSK’s Anshul Kamboj, who has taken 14 wickets in 7 matches.
