IPL 2026: Ravi Bishnoi Credits Team Effort for Victory Against Rajasthan Royals

Ahmedabad, April 5: In an exciting IPL 2026 match held at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Gujarat Titans (GT) faced off against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Saturday evening. RR turned the tide with exceptional bowling in the final overs, securing a narrow victory by 6 runs. Ravi Bishnoi, who delivered an outstanding performance, was named Player of the Match. However, he attributed the win to Tushar Deshpande, Jofra Archer, and the entire team.

After the match, Bishnoi stated, “Last season was tough, but I focused on my process. I would miss my length and concede sixes; that was my only weakness. If I hit my length, there are no issues. You saw in this match that when I bowled full length, I conceded runs, but not on good length. I have worked mentally, physically, and technically for this.”

Bishnoi highlighted the importance of taking Rahul Tewatia’s wicket, noting, “He is known as a great finisher. If he hadn’t been out, the match could have gone either way.”

The leg-spinner emphasized the collective effort, saying, “I’m glad the team won. Tushar’s performance at the end and Jofra’s bowling in the 19th over were crucial. This was a team effort, and that’s why we won. We are a young team and aim to continue playing like this.”

Bishnoi took 4 wickets for 41 runs in his 4 overs.

In terms of the match, RR won the toss and batted first, scoring 210 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. GT started strong in pursuit of the 211-run target, adding 78 runs for the first wicket in just 8 overs. The second wicket fell at a score of 107, but RR’s bowlers consistently took wickets, slowing GT’s run rate.

In the final two overs, GT needed 15 runs to win with 3 wickets remaining. Jofra Archer conceded only 4 runs in the 19th over. In the last over, GT required 11 runs, but Tushar Deshpande restricted them to just 4 runs, leading to a 6-run victory. GT finished their innings at 204 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs.
