Jhansi, August 12: Aban Ahmad, son of mafia figure Atiq Ahmad, tragically lost his life in a car accident. He was en route to visit his brother, who is incarcerated in Jhansi Jail. A video circulating on social media is being linked to this incident, prompting the Jhansi police to issue a statement.
The Jhansi police confirmed that a video is going viral, allegedly related to the recent accident. Under the direction of the Senior Superintendent of Police, they are investigating the source and authenticity of the footage.
Authorities have urged the public to refrain from sharing or disseminating the video until its verification is complete.
The circulating video shows a white car speeding down the highway. Suddenly, the vehicle loses control and crashes into a concrete barrier, flipping over.
It’s important to note that the accident involving Aban Ahmad occurred on August 6. Both Aban and his friend Sonu, aged 25, lost their lives in the crash. Three other passengers—Azam, Mohammad Javed, and Umar—sustained injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Reports indicate that Aban was traveling to meet his brother Ali Ahmad, who is currently imprisoned in Jhansi.
Following Aban’s death, he was laid to rest on August 8 at the Kasari-Masari cemetery in Prayagraj under tight security. His older brothers, Ali and Umar, were granted conditional parole by the Allahabad High Court to attend the funeral.
