New Delhi, April 16: The Indian Navy’s sail training ship, INS Sudarshini, has arrived at Casablanca, Morocco’s major port city. This visit is part of its transoceanic mission, ‘Lokayan 26.’
Notably, in the past year, four Indian naval vessels have visited Casablanca, including INS Tabar, INS Tarkash, INS Sumedha, and INS Tushil. These naval activities reflect a significant increase in trust and interoperability between the two nations. In November 2025, Rear Admiral Mohamed Tahin, Inspector of the Royal Moroccan Navy, visited India’s Southern Naval Command.
The arrival of INS Sudarshini in Morocco is considered a significant achievement for the mission. This journey aligns with India’s maritime vision for security and development in the Indian Ocean region and symbolizes the advancement of maritime cooperation.

During the three-day stay, the crew of INS Sudarshini will participate in professional and cultural programs with Moroccan Navy officials.
