Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences Announces Walk-In Interview for Senior Resident Positions
The Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences is hosting a walk-in interview for Senior Resident positions on October 24, 2026.
Patna, October 17 (Daily Kiran) : The Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) in Patna has exciting news for those seeking employment in the medical field. The institute has announced the availability of eight Senior Resident positions in the Cardiology department on an ad-hoc basis for 89 days.
According to the official notification, the vacancies include two unreserved positions, one for unreserved women, two for Extremely Backward Classes (EBC), one for Backward Classes (BC), one for Scheduled Castes (SC), and one for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).
Candidates will be selected based on a walk-in interview and document verification. The salary for the selected candidates will adhere to the institution’s regulations.
To qualify, candidates must hold an MS/MD degree in Medicine. The maximum age limit is set at 45 years, calculated as of February 7, 2026. However, candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per the rules.
The walk-in interview is scheduled for October 24, starting at 11 AM, in the Head of Department’s room in the Cardiology department at IGIMS, Patna-14. Interested candidates should report by 10 AM on the interview day. Document verification will also take place on the same day in the HOD’s office.
Candidates are advised to arrive on time and bring a hard copy of their completed application form along with all necessary original and photocopied documents.
