New Delhi, October 17 (Daily Kiran): IndiGo has signed an agreement with Airbus to purchase 30 additional A350-900 wide-body aircraft, doubling its total order for this model to 60.

In an official statement, the airline confirmed that it has converted 30 of its 70 purchase rights for Airbus A350-900 aircraft into firm orders. “IndiGo has increased its wide-body aircraft order from 30 to 60 Airbus A350-900 jets,” the company said.
Both parties had earlier signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in June for these 30 additional aircraft. At present, IndiGo operates a fleet of over 400 aircraft.
The country’s largest airline continues to strengthen its international operations, and with this deal, it retains purchase rights for 40 more A350 aircraft.
