Indian Womens Team Poised for Victory Against Pakistan in Dubai, Says Coach Jwala Singh

Dubai, September 5 (Daily Kiran) : The highly anticipated clash between the Indian and Pakistani women’s cricket teams is set to take place on Saturday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium as part of the Women’s Asia Cup 2026. Jwala Singh, the childhood coach of young star Yashasvi Jaiswal, believes that India will secure a decisive victory in this match.

India kicked off its Women’s Asia Cup campaign with an impressive 94-run win over Thailand. Following that, the “Women in Blue” dominated Hong Kong and China by 137 runs, advancing to the semifinals. Now, the Indian team aims to defeat Pakistan and move into the Super-4 stage. Historically, India has a strong record against Pakistan, having won 14 out of their 17 encounters.

Jwala Singh stated, “Given how the Indian women’s team is playing cricket, I am confident they will showcase their strength against Pakistan in Dubai. Our record in women’s cricket against Pakistan is even better than in men’s cricket. I firmly believe the Indian women’s team will win by a significant margin and raise the flag of victory on the Dubai field.”

As a coach who has nurtured a new aggressive generation of Indian cricket, Singh noted, “In the last match, Smriti Mandhana performed well, and the openers showed great form. While that match was against a weaker team, Pakistan poses a stronger challenge. However, India’s balanced combination of a solid opening lineup, middle-order batsmen, and a powerful bowling attack gives us an edge. Pakistani captain Fatima Sana will also put forth a strong effort. Pressure exists on both sides, with both teams eager to win. It will be interesting to see how they manage that pressure.”

Fans and emerging cricketers are eagerly awaiting this match. Angel, a player training at a cricket academy in Bengaluru, remarked, “This match is crucial for us.
