Indian Womens Team Eager to Give Their All: Santosh Pingulkar

Vasai-Virar, June 14: The high-stakes Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 match between India and Pakistan is set to take place at Edgbaston this Sunday. Santosh Pingulkar, the childhood coach of Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw, has high hopes for the ‘Women in Blue.’

Pingulkar stated, “Depending on the weather in England, the team winning the toss can choose either to bat or bowl. It will depend on the evening conditions. Our team is very strong. During the ODI World Cup, they demonstrated their performance when playing together.”

He added, “Our team is indeed robust. The World Cup has shown how well they can perform when they play as a unit. The team is currently in England, practicing to adapt to the local weather. They are performing well. There is no doubt that everyone is playing together as one unit. There are some new faces in the squad. The players are eager to give their best. With Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, and Jemimah Rodrigues, India’s team is strong and aims to win the title.”

So far, India and Pakistan have faced each other in 16 T20 matches, with India winning 13 and Pakistan securing 3 victories.
