India and the U.S. Conduct Joint Counter-Terrorism Exercise

Auli, September 17 (Daily Kiran) : Indian and U.S. military forces are currently participating in a joint counter-terrorism exercise known as “War Exercise 2026.” This training is taking place in Auli, Uttarakhand, where troops from both nations are honing their skills in infiltrating terrorist hideouts and securing rooms within those locations.

The exercise simulates scenarios where soldiers must act swiftly and collaboratively in confined spaces. Throughout the training, teams utilized advanced technologies, including drones, robotic dogs, trained military dogs, and snipers. American soldiers observed the equipment used by their Indian counterparts and engaged in discussions about the techniques and capabilities being employed during the operations.

This collaboration facilitated an exchange of experiences and professional insights between the two forces. The training aims to strengthen strategic understanding, professional exchanges, and coordination in counter-terrorism operations.

During the exercise, military teams practiced securing buildings and conducting thorough searches of individual rooms. The joint use of modern technology and specialized troops was prominently displayed, reinforcing the operational synergy between the two armies.

Notably, the joint military exercise spans from the mountainous terrain of Auli to the Mahajan Field Firing Range in Rajasthan, involving a total of 1,200 personnel, with approximately 600 soldiers from each country. The exercise focuses on enhancing the operational capabilities of integrated battle groups in hilly and semi-hilly regions. Soldiers are practicing strategies and techniques to work together effectively in diverse conditions.

“War Exercise 2026” emphasizes modern technology as soldiers employ drones and autonomous systems for surveillance and reconnaissance. Experts from both nations will also discuss emerging military technologies and changes in multi-domain warfare. This collaboration aims to further strengthen mutual coordination and the capacity for joint operations.
