
New Delhi, October 9 (Daily Kiran) : India and Qatar assessed their multifaceted strategic partnership during a Foreign Office Consultation held in New Delhi on October 9. The meeting aimed to explore ways to further strengthen bilateral relations.
The Ministry of External Affairs announced on social media that the consultation was co-chaired by Shri Priya Ranganathan and Dr. Ahmed Hassan Al-Hamadi, the Secretary-General of Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Both parties reviewed their partnership in areas such as trade, investment, energy, security, consular issues, education, and cultural cooperation. They also exchanged views on regional and multilateral issues of mutual interest.
India’s Ambassador to Qatar, Dr. K. Shrikar Reddy, was present during the discussions. Last month, he met with a senior official from Qatar’s Foreign Ministry to share insights on bilateral relations and discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two nations.
The Indian Embassy in Qatar highlighted on social media that Ambassador Reddy engaged with the Director of Asian Affairs at Qatar’s Foreign Ministry. They exchanged thoughts on strengthening the close and multifaceted partnership between India and Qatar, including areas of mutual interest.
On September 10, Ambassador Reddy presented his credentials to Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, where they discussed deepening and strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Ambassador Reddy arrived in Doha on September 5, where he was welcomed by the Acting Ambassador Sandeep Kumar and Ibrahim Yusuf Fakhro, the Director of Qatar’s Protocol Department.
