Train Cancellations Cause Chaos Ahead of CJP Protest in New Delhi

New Delhi, October 9 (Daily Kiran) : Passengers in New Delhi are facing significant disruptions as multiple train services have been canceled or rescheduled ahead of the Cockroach People’s Party (CJP) protest scheduled for October 10. Many travelers have found themselves stranded at railway stations, expressing their frustration over the inconvenience caused by the protest and the railway’s decisions.

At Jammu railway station, one traveler remarked on the chaotic atmosphere, saying, “Look at how disorganized it is here. People are struggling, and everyone is stuck. Those who need to reach their destinations are trapped.”

Another female passenger accused the CJP of trying to gain political leverage. She stated, “The CJP is attempting to establish its political base, similar to how the Aam Aadmi Party did initially. I believe they are receiving external support. Some forces want to destabilize and divide the country, using this protest to achieve their goals.”

A traveler at New Delhi railway station also voiced their disappointment regarding the protest’s impact. “This demonstration is causing trouble for ordinary people. Traffic is congested, and metro and train services are affected. This is unacceptable,” they said.

One passenger shared their experience of having to take an alternative route from Gurugram to New Delhi after Google Maps indicated heavy traffic on the usual path.

A young traveler expressed concern over the cancellations, noting, “I just saw the news that all trains are canceled from 4 AM to 2 PM tomorrow. Many trains have already been diverted or canceled today. This is having a significant impact on people’s daily lives.”

They added, “Students are having to adjust their class schedules, and plans are being disrupted. This is causing many problems. We don’t know if the government is aware of these issues. Booking train tickets has become very challenging. It’s hard to get immediate tickets, and even regular ones are difficult to secure. When someone finally manages to book a ticket and the train is canceled, someone should be held accountable.”

At Kanpur railway station, another traveler explained that due to the cancellations and rescheduling, they would have to complete their journey in segments. “I was trying to get to Delhi, but now there are no trains available from Kanpur. I’ll have to break my journey into parts. First, I’ll take a bus for 50-60 kilometers and then catch the next available train from there,” they said, highlighting the inconvenience of the situation.
