Saharanpur, March 20: Bollywood star Ranveer Singh’s film ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is making waves at the box office. While fans are praising the film, Congress MP Imran Masood has labeled it as nonsense. He claims the film promotes a sponsored agenda of hatred.
Masood criticized the portrayal of mafia figure Atiq Ahmed’s direct connections with the ISI in the film, calling it absurd. He stated that demonetization has severely impacted the entire country, and the film glorifies this issue.
In an interview, Masood emphasized that there are 250 million Muslims in the country. “You cannot expel them; they must stay here. However, spreading hatred will hinder the nation’s progress, and nothing will be gained from such animosity. Where will these 250 million Muslims go?” he questioned, asserting that the film represents a government-sponsored agenda.
Regarding the demand by the ABVP to remove Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s name from the political science curriculum at Jammu University, Masood argued that the country should learn about Jinnah in detail. This understanding is crucial to recognize his role in the partition of India. He insisted that education should also cover those who collaborated with Jinnah to facilitate the division and formed governments with his support.
On the comments made by MNS chief Raj Thackeray about including Marathi players in the Indian cricket team, Masood urged an end to spreading hatred, suggesting that clarity would emerge once animosity ceases.
Addressing the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, Masood remarked that Israel has long sought to destroy Iran, yet Iran has turned Israel into ruins. He noted that Israel, once dominant globally, is now on its knees.
