New Delhi, September 1: A significant opportunity has emerged for job seekers in the banking sector. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has issued an official notification inviting applications from eligible candidates who wish to join any Regional Rural Bank (RRB) as Group ‘A’ Officers (Scale I, II, and III) and Group ‘B’ Office Assistants (Multipurpose).
IBPS has announced a massive recruitment drive for 13,706 positions in Regional Rural Banks (RRBs), including Group ‘A’ Officers (Scale I, II, and III) and Group ‘B’ Office Assistants (Multipurpose).
Among the 13,706 vacancies released by IBPS, there are 8,183 positions for Office Assistants (Multipurpose) in Group ‘B’, 4,256 for Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager) in Group ‘A’, 1,047 for Officer Scale-II (including General Banking Officer, IT Officer, Chartered Accountant, Law Officer, Treasury Manager, Marketing Officer, Agricultural Officer), and 220 for Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager) in Group ‘A’.
The online application process for these vacancies commenced on September 1 and will close on September 21. Candidates wishing to apply for these positions can complete their registration on the official IBPS website before the deadline. Additionally, candidates who make errors while filling out the application form will have the opportunity to make corrections through an edit window, which will remain active for two days after the registration process closes.
Applicants must possess at least a graduation degree from a recognized institution or university, relevant to the position and field. Furthermore, candidates are required to be proficient in the local language, have working knowledge of computers, and possess 1-2 years of experience in the relevant field after obtaining their qualifications.
The age criteria for applicants are as follows: for Office Assistant (Multipurpose), the minimum age is 18 years and the maximum is 28 years; for Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager), the minimum age is 18 years and the maximum is 30 years; for Officer Scale-II (Manager), the minimum age is 21 years and the maximum is 32 years; and for Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager), the minimum age is 21 years and the maximum is 40 years. Age calculations will be based on September 1, and candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on an online examination (preliminary/main/single), pre-exam training (PET), interviews, and document verification. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary as per IBPS pay scale regulations.
While filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is set at ₹850 for General/EWS/OBC (NCL) candidates and ₹175 for SC/ST/PWD/ESM/DESM candidates.
