Mumbai, October 31 (Daily Kiran) : Actor Hrithik Roshan expressed his sorrow over the passing of director Sanjay Gupta on Saturday through an emotional post on social media. He conveyed that working on just one film together was not enough.
Recalling their time together, Hrithik shared on his official Instagram account, “Sanjay, I will miss you dearly. One film was not enough; I will always cherish the moments we spent together. Your laughter, your passion, and that childlike joy you had whenever a good idea struck you will remain with me. We had so much more to do together. This feels too soon.”
He also thanked Gupta for the wonderful experiences during the shooting of ‘Kaabil.’ “My friend, I will remember you with immense gratitude. I wish I had hugged you tighter and thanked you for giving me the best experience of my life through ‘Kaabil.’ No one will ever fully understand how much you invested in that film. My heart is broken; this is too soon. May your family find strength, and may God grant your soul peace, my friend,” he added.
Reports indicate that Gupta sustained a severe head injury after falling on Friday night. Family members were asleep at the time and found him in this condition the following morning.
‘Kaabil,’ which starred Yami Gautam alongside Hrithik, featured Ronit Roy and Rohit Roy in key roles. Produced under Rakesh Roshan’s Filmkraft Productions, the film’s music was composed by Rajesh Roshan. The story revolves around Rohan Bhatnagar (played by Hrithik), who is blind and falls in love with Supiya (Yami), who is also visually impaired. Their lives take a tragic turn when Supiya becomes a victim of a horrific crime, prompting Rohan to seek vengeance for her death.
