HP Launches EliteBoard G1a: Slim Keyboard with Built-in Windows 11 PC

HP has introduced the EliteBoard G1a, a slim membrane keyboard that doubles as a full Windows 11 PC powered by AMD’s latest Ryzen AI 300-series processor. This innovative device aims to transform the modern workspace by combining portability, simplicity, and advanced AI performance in a compact form weighing just 750 grams.

Compact Design with Powerful Performance

The EliteBoard G1a features up to 50 TOPS (trillions of operations per second) of on-device AI computing capability, enabled by an integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU). It runs Windows 11 Pro for Business and supports Radeon 800M graphics. The keyboard houses all components within a 12mm-thick chassis, making it one of the slimmest and most portable x86 Windows PCs available.

Additional options include a 32W built-in battery and an integrated fingerprint sensor, enhancing both usability and security.

Designed for Modern Work Environments

This device targets hot-desking offices, hybrid working teams, and professionals seeking quick setup without compromising Windows compatibility. Users only need to connect the EliteBoard G1a to a USB-C display and pair it with the included wireless mouse to get started instantly.

HP has equipped the keyboard with dual microphones and speakers, along with a dedicated Copilot key for immediate access to Microsoft’s AI assistant. Enterprise-grade security is ensured through Wolf Security for Business, and the keyboard is spill-resistant to protect the internal PC against everyday accidents.

Availability and Industry Context

The EliteBoard G1a is on display at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, with shipments expected to begin in March. Pricing details are yet to be announced. Alongside it, HP has revealed the Series 7 Pro monitor, designed as an ideal companion for the new system.

In related developments, Gmktec showcased the Evo-T2, a mini PC powered by Intel’s Core Ultra X9 388H offering up to 180 TOPS AI performance, while Lenovo introduced the Yoga Mini i, a compact mini PC tailored for limited spaces.
