Honoring the Sacrifices of Martyrs on Independence Day: MLA Om Prakash Yadavs Inspiring Speech

Mahendragarh, August 15: The 80th Independence Day celebration was held with great enthusiasm at the Model Culture School in Mahendragarh, Haryana. MLA Om Prakash Yadav from Narnaul was the chief guest and hoisted the national flag during the event, which was attended by various officials.

In his address, MLA Yadav extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to everyone on the momentous occasion of the 80th anniversary of independence. He specifically acknowledged the brave soldiers stationed at the borders under challenging conditions, wishing them a special Independence Day. “Today is a day of joy for every Indian. The tricolor is present in every street, every neighborhood, and every home. The entire nation is adorned in the colors of patriotism,” he stated.

He emphasized the sacrifices made by countless sons of Mother India for this day. Many patriots endured hardships and torture for the freedom we enjoy today. On this sacred occasion, he paid tribute to all known and unknown martyrs who laid down their lives for independence.

The MLA also saluted the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the unity and integrity of the country after independence. “Thanks to their unparalleled sacrifices, we breathe in the open air of freedom today. It is a matter of pride for me to hoist the flag here. As you all know, the first spark of the freedom movement ignited on May 10, 1857, in Ambala, Haryana. This spark eventually led to a mass movement that helped us overthrow British rule in 1947. We are constructing a martyr’s memorial in Ambala Cantonment to inspire our youth from the patriotism of these martyrs,” he added.

He noted that Haryana’s brave soldiers have continuously contributed to the country’s freedom, showcasing valor from foreign invasions in 1962, 1965, and 1971, to the Kargil War.

Yadav concluded by stating that while we can never repay the debt of our martyrs’ sacrifices, we can show our respect by caring for their families. The current government, committed to “good governance through service,” has worked for the progress of every Haryana resident under Prime Minister Modi‘s mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” and “Haryana Ek, Haryanvi Ek.” They have adopted a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption, ensuring transparent governance.
