Honoring the Brave: Commemorating the Kakori Train Action Anniversary

New Delhi, August 9: On the anniversary of the Kakori Train Action, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and several other leaders paid tribute to the revolutionaries. On August 9, 1925, revolutionaries looted the British government’s treasury near Kakori village, aiming to fund their struggle for independence.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his reverence for the revolutionaries on the social media platform X, stating, “On the anniversary of the Kakori Train Action, I pay homage to all immortal freedom fighters. This historic event in the Indian freedom struggle is a golden chapter of indomitable courage, patriotism, and sacrifice that will always ignite the spirit of ‘Nation First’ in our hearts.”

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also took to social media, writing, “The Kakori Train Action symbolizes the indomitable courage of the Indian freedom struggle, showcasing the power of revolutionary resolve against British rule. On this historic day, I salute all brave revolutionaries who dedicated everything for the freedom of Mother India. Their courage and patriotism will continue to inspire citizens to prioritize the nation.”

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma remarked, “On the anniversary of the historic Kakori Train Action, which challenged the foundations of British rule, I respectfully honor all immortal revolutionaries! Their unmatched valor, unwavering nationalism, and dream of a free India continue to inspire us to place national interest above all.”

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav posted on X, “The Kakori Train Action is a courageous chapter of the freedom struggle, where revolutionaries infused new energy into the fight against British rule. The bravery, sacrifice, and patriotism of these heroic figures will always be a source of pride for our citizens. I respectfully pay homage to the immortal revolutionaries.”

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya shared on social media, “On the anniversary of the historic Kakori Train Action, which shook the foundations of British rule, I salute all immortal freedom fighters of Mother India! This historic event challenged British authority and gave new momentum to the freedom struggle. The indomitable courage, sacrifice, and dedication of the revolutionaries will always inspire us to serve the nation.”
