Honor Magic V6 Unveiled with Crease-less Display in Real-life Shots

Mumbai, February 28: Foldable phones are experiencing a significant innovation surge in 2026. Recently, Samsung showcased its creaseless foldable display, anticipated to feature in the upcoming iPhone Fold. While it was expected that Android foldables would adopt this technology later, Oppo has already teased the forthcoming Find N6, boasting a sleek, creaseless inner screen.

An Honor executive has now taken to Weibo to unveil the seamless appearance of the inner display on the upcoming Magic V6 foldable.

Honor Magic V6 Features Crease-less Inner Screen

Honor’s Wang Fei shared images of the Magic V6’s inner display, revealing no visible crease in these shots. In contrast, most current foldables exhibit some form of ridge or reflection line at the bending point.

Of course, controlled lighting and specific angles can conceal many imperfections. However, if Honor’s images accurately represent real-world performance, the Magic V6 could signify a significant advancement in foldable technology.

In his post, Wang Fei emphasized that crease management is vital for attracting first-time foldable buyers, particularly those skeptical about durability and display quality. He noted that while controlling the crease is essential, it is just one aspect of the overall design.

Wang highlighted that thinness and lightness are the “core technologies” of foldable phones. A successful foldable must not only look appealing when open but also remain slim and portable. Importantly, this slim profile should not compromise battery life, reliability, performance, or the overall user experience.

This challenge is familiar in foldable design. Reducing the crease often necessitates redesigning hinges, introducing new display layers, or adjusting tolerances, all of which can impact thickness, weight, and internal space for components like batteries. Brands have been navigating these trade-offs for years.

Honor asserts it has “consistently led” in foldable technology, and the Magic V6 represents its latest endeavor in this domain. If the company has genuinely minimized the crease without sacrificing other essential features, it could indicate that foldables are evolving into everyday devices.

The ultimate test, as always, will occur when users hold the phone in their hands.
