Hagerstown, Maryland, September 9 (Kiran News) — Hitachi Rail has inaugurated its new digital factory in Hagerstown, Maryland, a $100 million investment aimed at strengthening the group’s presence in North America.
The 307,000 sq. ft. facility will produce railcars for metropolitan areas including Washington D.C., Baltimore, and Philadelphia, with orders already placed for more than 600 railcars. The site is designed to deliver up to 20 cars per month.
