New Delhi, March 18: Air India Group has announced a significant update regarding flights between India and the West Asia region, particularly Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). On March 18, 2026, Air India and Air India Express will operate a total of 50 flights, both scheduled and non-scheduled. This decision comes in response to the increasing demand from travelers and regional circumstances.
Air India and Air India Express will continue their regular scheduled services from Jeddah and Muscat on March 18. There will be a total of 14 flights between Jeddah and India, with Air India operating round-trip services from Delhi and Mumbai. Additionally, Air India Express will run one flight each from Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Mangalore, along with two flights from Kozhikode. In addition to scheduled flights, the Air India Group will also operate a total of 24 non-scheduled (ad-hoc) flights from the UAE and Saudi Arabia. All flights are being operated with the necessary approvals from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and relevant regulatory authorities in the respective countries.
All Air India flights to North America, Europe, Australia, and other international routes are operating as per the regular schedule. However, passengers who have booked on routes where some services have been temporarily affected are being provided special relief. Such passengers can rebook their flights for a future date without any additional charges or opt for a full refund.
