The Public Works Department has been directed to expedite the cleaning of city drains and the removal of silt to prevent future occurrences of such situations. The administration has made it clear that accountability will be enforced in cases of negligence at any level.
A recent tragic incident in the Maligaon area, where a person lost their life, was also discussed. The district administration has been instructed to investigate and determine accountability in this case. Officials have stated that such incidents will be taken seriously, and concrete measures will be implemented to prevent future occurrences.
