Patna, 17 August (Kiran News). A decline in rainfall over the past two days has led to a rise in temperatures in Bihar. As a result, the capital Patna experienced humid heat since Sunday morning. However, the weather has continued to fluctuate, with intervals of cloud cover and strong sunshine.

According to the Meteorological Department, Patna is likely to remain partly cloudy on Sunday, with light rainfall possible at one or two places in the district. Rain is also forecast in Muzaffarpur and several other areas over the next two days, but a decrease in rainfall activity has caused temperatures to rise.
Patna recorded a maximum temperature of 35.1°C and a minimum of 28.7°C, which are 0.6°C and 0.8°C higher, respectively, compared to previous days.
A warning for thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds has been issued in nine districts of the state: West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, Purnia, and Kishanganj. Winds are expected to blow at speeds of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour in these districts, and people have been advised to exercise caution.
The Meteorological Department has predicted that rainfall activity is likely to increase again across the state from 21 August, which may further raise the temperature by 2 to 3°C.
According to the Meteorological Centre in Muzaffarpur, the influence of the south-west monsoon persists, although it has weakened compared to last week. Nevertheless, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall in some areas of the district.
For the next two days, morning humidity is expected to remain around 100 percent, while afternoon humidity will be between 65 and 70 percent. The maximum temperature is likely to be between 34°C and 36°C, and the minimum between 27°C and 29°C. Easterly winds will bring humid heat. A change in wind direction is expected from Tuesday, which may bring some relief.
The Meteorological Department has appealed to people to remain cautious and keep track of the latest weather updates, especially in areas where warnings for lightning and strong winds have been issued. Extra precautions are necessary in such areas. The return of rainfall in the coming days will change the weather and cause fluctuations in temperature.
