Harshvardhan Singh Critiques Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadavs Political Seriousness

New Delhi, August 19: Senior JD(U) leader Harshvardhan Singh criticized Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday. He stated that just as the public does not take Rahul Gandhi seriously, the people of Bihar also do not regard Tejashwi Yadav with seriousness. Singh attributed this to both leaders’ lack of commitment to their respective roles.

On the same day, Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, marched to Lok Bhawan to raise issues regarding irregularities and fraud in examinations.

In an interview, Harshvardhan Singh pointed out that Tejashwi Yadav’s frequent absences due to foreign trips leave him unaware of the current situation in the state. Singh suggested that Yadav engages in politics merely to maintain his visibility among the public. He remarked that, similar to Rahul Gandhi, the public has stopped taking Tejashwi Yadav seriously due to his lack of knowledge on pressing issues, leading him to make irrelevant statements to stay in the media spotlight.

Singh advised Tejashwi Yadav, as the Leader of the Opposition, to focus on holding the ruling party accountable for its mistakes. He criticized Yadav for prioritizing foreign travel over his responsibilities, implying that his actions are merely aimed at enhancing his public image.

Harshvardhan emphasized that Bihar has a rich history of student politics, with many current ministers and senior leaders having emerged from student leadership. He noted that the concerns and struggles of students in Bihar are better understood compared to other regions of the country.

Addressing the recent cancellation of exams and the paper leak scandal in Jharkhand, Singh questioned the integrity of the government, stating, “When the king himself is a thief, such situations arise as seen in Jharkhand.”

He accused the government of canceling exams to protect itself and predicted that significant figures would emerge during the investigation of these examinations. Regarding the arrest of accused Abhay Tiwari’s wife and brother, he remarked that until smaller players are apprehended, the larger figures will not feel threatened.
