Surat, March 4: Gujarat’s Deputy Chief Minister, Harsh Sanghvi, celebrated Holi with senior citizens at an old age home in Surat. He spent quality time with them, applying colors and receiving their blessings.
Describing the visit as more than just a formal event, Sanghvi expressed that it was an emotional moment for him. He stated, “Today is a sacred occasion of Holi. I extend heartfelt wishes to all citizens of our state.”
He further emphasized that festivals bring families together, allowing them to joyfully apply colors on each other. “Today, I am here to celebrate Holi not just with my small family but also with my larger family— the elderly residents of this home,” he added.
Sanghvi acknowledged the significant role seniors play in shaping society by instilling values in their children and bringing smiles to their faces. He urged everyone to pray for the colors of happiness to remain in everyone’s lives.
Feeling fortunate to share this occasion with the residents, Sanghvi remarked, “I consider myself like a son to them, and I visit them during every festival throughout the year. The tears in their eyes today were tears of joy, and they are blessings for me.”
He also extended Holi wishes to people across the state.
In response to questions regarding the current war situation, the Deputy Chief Minister assured that the government has made adequate arrangements to safely bring back Indian citizens. He referenced the evacuation operations conducted during the Ukraine crisis, stating that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the country had previously ensured the safe return of its youth.
Sanghvi concluded by saying that in such challenging circumstances, proactive plans and arrangements are made to assist people. He expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for ensuring the safe return of the state’s residents and acknowledged his leadership.
