
Mumbai, June 5: On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Youth Wing organized a grand cyclothon at Borivali National Park in Mumbai. The event aimed to promote cycling culture among the residents of Mumbai and raise awareness about environmental conservation.
During the event, Amit Satam, President of BJP Mumbai and MLA, emphasized the pressing global challenges of energy crises and climate change. He stated that it is essential to transform environmental protection into a people’s movement. Satam highlighted the introduction of green transport systems like the metro in Mumbai and stressed the need to encourage cycling for short-distance travel. He noted that cycling could be an effective means to reduce pollution and combat the threats of global warming. The cyclothon aimed to inspire people to adopt a healthy lifestyle while also contributing to environmental protection.
Additionally, Satam spoke about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming milestone on June 10, when he will become the longest-serving elected Prime Minister in India’s history. He acknowledged the continuous blessings and support Modi has received from the public, who have repeatedly entrusted him with the opportunity to serve the nation based on his leadership, work ethic, and commitment to development. Satam remarked that public support is the greatest strength in a democratic system, and the widespread backing for Modi is a testament to his capabilities and dedication to the country’s progress.
BJP MLA Sanjay Upadhyay also commented on Modi’s leadership since 2014, stating that he will set a new record as the longest-serving Prime Minister on June 10. Upadhyay noted that Modi has consistently prioritized the welfare of the poor, national interests, and development. He further mentioned that even during challenging times like the COVID-19 pandemic, Modi remained active and led the country effectively. Upadhyay expressed his admiration for Modi’s unwavering dedication and wished him good health and longevity.
