Patna, August 7: A remarkable opportunity has emerged for youth aspiring to work in government hospitals. The State Health Society (SHS) of Bihar has issued an official notification for the recruitment of eligible candidates for a total of 450 specialist doctor positions across various departments.
The 450 vacancies include 94 positions for Obstetricians and Gynecologists, 115 for Pediatricians, 132 for Anesthetists, 60 for MD Medicine/Physicians, 27 for General Surgeons, and 22 for Orthopedic Surgeons.
The online application process for these positions commenced today, August 7, at 10 AM, and the deadline for submission is set for August 21. Candidates interested in applying for the specialist doctor roles can submit their registration forms on the official SHS-Bihar website before 6 PM on the final date.
Applicants must possess relevant qualifications from recognized institutions. For Obstetricians and Gynecologists, an MD/MS/DNB or DGO in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required. Pediatricians should have an MD/DNB in Pediatrics or a Diploma in Child Health (DCH). Anesthetists need an MD/DNB in Anesthesia or a Diploma in Anesthesia (DA). For MD Medicine/Physicians, an MD/DNB in General Medicine is necessary. General Surgeons must have an MS/DNB in General Surgery, while Orthopedic Surgeons should hold an MBBS with MS-Ortho/DNB in Orthopedics, MD in Orthopedics, or D.Ortho. Additionally, all candidates must meet other specified eligibility criteria.
The minimum age for applicants is set at 21 years, while the maximum age limit is 37 years, calculated as of August 1. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on application scrutiny, merit list, document verification, and other stages. The monthly salary for selected candidates will range between ₹90,000 and ₹1,20,000, depending on the position and qualifications.
