Begusarai, February 16: Union Minister Giriraj Singh has made pointed remarks about Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, stating that the former Chief Minister has extensive experience with corruption.
On Monday, Lalu Prasad Yadav and former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi declared their innocence in an alleged corruption case involving job exchanges for land, which is currently under investigation by the CBI.
In response to Yadav’s statements, Giriraj Singh emphasized that the law applies equally to everyone. He stated that the CBI is a constitutional body that operates under the law. If it has found someone guilty, that person should be considered guilty. Singh questioned who is stopping Lalu Yadav from contesting this, but noted that Yadav’s background suggests he has significant experience with corruption, adding, “You reap what you sow.”
Giriraj Singh further criticized the so-called ‘Indi Alliance’, claiming it was merely a name created to oppose Prime Minister Modi, asserting that leaders like Mamata Banerjee and Rahul Gandhi lack the strength to make an impact.
Regarding the Election Commission‘s actions in Bengal, Singh remarked that Mamata Banerjee herself takes files related to scams from the CBI. He stated that if any action is taken against her, she will claim it is because the CBI is acting as a BJP agent. Singh pointed out that the Election Commission has taken action against seven officials of the Mamata government after conducting an investigation. He questioned which constitutional rules Banerjee would adhere to if she does not accept this action.
Singh concluded by suggesting that when Banerjee loses the upcoming elections, she will blame the Election Commission for her defeat, implying that she has already conceded defeat by making such nonsensical statements.
