German Ambassador Celebrates Indias 80th Independence Day with Heartfelt Wishes

New Delhi, August 15: India is celebrating its 80th Independence Day. The festive spirit of this national holiday resonates even across oceans. Various embassies, both in India and abroad, are extending their congratulations to citizens in their unique ways. The UK Embassy has sent its greetings, while the Indian Embassy in Italy raised the national flag. Meanwhile, German Ambassador Jasper Wieck showcased a glimpse of independent India’s first celebration.

Jasper was seen embracing Indian culture. He posted a video on X, featuring the iconic India Gate in the background. In his message, he stated, “Wishing everyone a Happy Independence Day. India’s freedom is one of the greatest events of the 20th century. It serves as an inspiration for people around the world. On this extraordinary day, I wish the people of India peace, goodwill, and prosperity. Heartfelt congratulations (in Hindi)!”

The UK High Commission in India also expressed its warm wishes in Hindi, stating, “We extend our heartfelt greetings to all on India’s Independence Day.”

At the Indian Embassy in Italy, a vibrant presentation took place. The event showcased the commitment to the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, with young women from the Indian community moving the audience with a rendition of the song “Vande Mataram.” The embassy shared glimpses of the celebration on X, wishing everyone a Happy Independence Day.

Since morning, a stream of congratulations has been pouring in from various embassies and missions. Among them is Argentina’s Ambassador Mariano Caucino, who also shared his wishes on X. He stated, “On this new anniversary of India’s independence, Argentina joins the celebration of the remarkable achievements since freedom and pledges to continue strengthening the friendship between Argentina and India.”
