New Delhi, August 15: On the occasion of the 80th Independence Day, the Lieutenant Governor and Chief Minister of Delhi, along with several leaders, have extended their greetings.
Lieutenant Governor Tarunjeet Singh Sandhu shared his wishes on the social media platform X, stating, “Heartfelt greetings to everyone on our 80th Independence Day! As our sacred tricolor proudly flies across every corner of India, we bow in eternal gratitude to the brave martyrs whose supreme sacrifices have granted us freedom.”
He further added, “From our national capital, Delhi, to every village and city, let us unite with renewed resolve to advance the mission of a developed India, building a stronger, more prosperous, and developed nation.”
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta expressed, “Warm wishes to all on the 80th Independence Day. This sacred day reminds us of the struggle that granted India its freedom and the commitment needed to transform India into a developed nation. It is our generation’s responsibility to realize the dreams of those heroes who bequeathed us an independent India. Let us connect our duty to national service and our efforts to nation-building this Independence Day.”
Minister Pravesh Verma of the Delhi government stated, “Heartfelt greetings to all citizens on the 80th Independence Day! Freedom is not just a celebration; it is the immortal story of countless heroes who sacrificed everything for the country’s independence.”
He continued, “On this auspicious occasion, let us pay homage to all the great freedom fighters and brave soldiers whose courage and sacrifices allow our tricolor to fly proudly today. We pledge to always prioritize the unity, integrity, peace, and prosperity of our nation and contribute to making India stronger, self-reliant, and glorious.”
Minister Kapil Mishra added, “We gained independence on August 15, 1947, thanks to the valor of countless immortal martyrs like Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Chandrashekhar Azad, and Netaji Bose. Today, as our tricolor waves proudly at the South Pole, the strength of Indian women leads in every field, and the development journey reaches every village through Digital India and Startup India, every Indian’s chest swells with pride.”
He concluded, “On this sacred occasion, let us pledge that we will never let this India, gifted by the sacrifices of great heroes, break apart. United in our resolve for nationalism, we were one, we are one, and we will always remain one. Wishing everyone a happy Independence Day. Let us contribute our utmost to building a ‘Developed India’ by 2047.”
