
Gandarbal police in Jammu and Kashmir swiftly solved a kidnapping case, recovering a minor boy safely within just one hour of the abduction. One accused has been arrested in connection with the incident.
A complaint was filed at Lar police station, reporting that the complainant’s minor nephew was abducted near his home in Chanthan Gulabpora area of Lar around 6:30 pm on Sunday by unidentified individuals.
Upon receiving the complaint, a First Information Report was registered and an investigation was launched under relevant sections. Under the directions of SSP Gandarbal Khalil Ahmed Poswal (JKPS), a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed to expedite the inquiry.
Due to quick, coordinated action combined with technical and ground-level investigation, the abducted minor was safely recovered within an hour. During the operation, the police arrested one accused, Ishfaq Ahmed Teli, son of Abdul Jabbar Teli, resident of Kurhama. The vehicle used in the crime was also seized near Barsu Chowk.
Police have stated that the investigation is ongoing and efforts are underway to apprehend other suspects involved in the case.
Reiterating their commitment to public safety, Gandarbal police have urged citizens to immediately report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
