Four Minors Arrested for Robbery in New Delhi

New Delhi, March 13: The South District Police have apprehended four minors involved in a robbery incident in the Bhatti Mines area. The minors reportedly assaulted two young men and stole cash from them. All suspects have been charged under the Juvenile Justice Act and sent to an observation home.

According to police reports, the incident occurred on March 9 at approximately 10 AM near D-Block Street, Sanjay Colony, Bhatti Mines. The complainant, Noor Alam (23), a scrap dealer residing at C-86, Sanjay Colony, was on his way to work when he was confronted by a young man named Vicky, along with his brother Deepak and two other accomplices. The assailants demanded ₹50 from Noor. When he refused, they began to assault him.

During the altercation, Noor’s friend Faizal attempted to intervene but was also attacked by the suspects. The assailants ultimately stole around ₹12,000 from Noor and ₹2,000 from Faizal. The two victims managed to escape and reported the incident to the police. Based on Noor’s statement, an FIR was filed at the Maidan Garhi police station on March 10, initiating an investigation.

In light of the seriousness of the case, a special team was formed under the leadership of Sub-Inspector Kamal Sharma, in charge of Bhatti Mines. The team included Sub-Inspector Dharmveer Singh, Head Constable Anil, Head Constable Rakesh, Head Constable Jitendra, and Constable Rajveer. The police team quickly began gathering information in the area and conducted raids at the suspects’ likely hideouts.

Thanks to the swift and coordinated actions of the police, all four minors were arrested. The suspects are residents of Sanjay Colony, New Delhi, and committed the robbery out of greed.

According to the South District Police, this prompt action underscores their commitment to maintaining law and order in the area. The members of the police team involved in the operation will also be rewarded for their commendable work.
