New Delhi, March 12: The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) in Shahdara, New Delhi, has apprehended a 19-year-old female drug dealer. Authorities seized 55.52 grams of smack (heroin) from her possession. This operation took place on March 11, 2026, in the Safeda Jhuggi area of Geeta Colony.
The ANTF received specific intelligence indicating that a woman was involved in the illegal sale and possession of smack in Safeda Jhuggi, Geeta Colony. After confirming the information, a team was assembled under the leadership of Inspector Vinod Kumar.
The team included Sub-Inspector Dheer Singh, Assistant Sub-Inspector Shokinder, Head Constables Rajesh, Vedpal, Pankaj, Vikas Malik, and Constables Arjun, Deepak, and Shivani. The raid was conducted under the direct supervision of ACP Ram Shankar Gotewal (ACP/Operations/Shahdara) and the overall direction of the DCP Shahdara.
During the operation, the team arrested a woman named Rupa, a resident of Safeda Jhuggi, Geeta Colony. Upon searching her, authorities found 55.52 grams of smack concealed in a polyethylene packet in her right pant pocket. The seized drugs were confiscated in accordance with legal procedures.
An FIR has been registered at the Geeta Colony police station, citing Section 21 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Following her arrest, Rupa was interrogated, during which she revealed the name of her supplier. Police are now conducting raids on the alleged supplier and receiver’s locations, aiming to uncover the entire drug supply chain.
Rupa reportedly supports herself through labor. She became involved with a drug supplier and, lured by the prospect of easy money, began selling drugs. According to police, she is a habitual offender with two prior cases on her criminal record.
