FIR Filed Against Congress Leader Ajay Rai for Offensive Remarks Against PM Modi

Mahoba, May 23: An FIR has been filed against Ajay Rai, the president of the Congress party’s Uttar Pradesh unit, for allegedly making offensive remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The comments were made during a meeting with his supporters in Mahoba district.

The complaint was lodged by BJP leader Advocate Neeraj Rawat at the Mahoba Kotwali police station. Following this, the police registered an FIR against Ajay Rai and 29 others, including the current Congress secretary, Brijraj.

The complainant stated, “As a social and political activist, I respect our Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On Friday, Brijraj, the current Congress secretary in Mahoba, invited Ajay Rai to an event held without administrative permission. Ajay Rai arrived with a convoy of 15-16 vehicles and 25-30 supporters in the Samad Nagar locality. His convoy blocked the road, causing inconvenience to the public.”

In his complaint, he wrote, “To ensure smooth public movement and maintain peace, government officials had to leave their duties to reach the event site. During this time, Ajay Rai made vulgar and offensive comments about Prime Minister Modi, which constitutes a criminal act. A video of this incident has also gone viral. Ajay Rai’s actions have incited caste-based animosity and public outrage. Residents of Mahoba and BJP workers are quite upset due to the video. The sentiments of the general public have also been hurt.”

The BJP leader demanded legal action against Ajay Rai, Brijraj Ahirwar, and 25-30 unidentified associates and supporters. Currently, the Mahoba police have registered a case against Ajay Rai and his supporters based on the complaint.
