Delhi, September 13 (Daily Kiran) : In a rapid response, Delhi police have cracked a sensational murder case in the Nand Nagri area, arresting a father-son duo just 12 hours after the incident. The police also recovered the knife believed to have been used in the crime.
The incident unfolded on the night of September 12, 2026, when officers received a report around 1:43 AM regarding a fight between two brothers in the Sundar Nagri neighborhood. Upon arrival, police learned that the victim, 28-year-old Mohammad Ali, had already been taken to GTB Hospital by his family. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after reaching the hospital.
During the investigation, Ali’s wife revealed that they lived on the first floor of the building, while his uncle, Nasiruddin, resided with his two sons on the ground floor. She recounted that around 1 AM, Ali went downstairs to fetch a bottle of water from the refrigerator. An argument ensued when Javed, one of Nasiruddin’s sons, refused to open the gate. The dispute escalated into violence, with Nasiruddin allegedly restraining Ali while Javed attacked him multiple times with a knife. Following the assault, both fled the scene.
An FIR was filed at the Nand Nagri police station, prompting a thorough investigation. Forensic teams meticulously examined the crime scene, gathering crucial evidence.
Under the leadership of Inspector Anand Yadav and the supervision of ACP Gaurav Kumar Tripathi, a special team collected leads from various sources. Thanks to persistent efforts and a combination of technical and human intelligence, the police apprehended the father-son duo within hours.
During questioning, both suspects confessed to their involvement in the crime. Investigations revealed a longstanding property dispute between Nasiruddin and the victim’s father, Jumma Din, concerning a fabric shop located in the Murga Market. The suspects were identified as 71-year-old Nasiruddin and his 26-year-old son, Javed. According to police, neither had any previous criminal record. The investigation is ongoing as authorities explore all aspects of the case.
