
Srinagar, March 21: On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference extended heartfelt wishes to the people of the region and the nation. The party shared a message from its president, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah via an official post on X.
The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference stated in the post, “Party President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah wish the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the entire country a joyous Eid. May this auspicious time bring peace, happiness, and prosperity to you and your loved ones, filling your homes with affection and your hearts with contentment.”
In their message, both leaders expressed hope that this sacred occasion would usher in peace, prosperity, and well-being for all. They wished that the festival would fill homes with warmth and togetherness, and instill satisfaction and tranquility in hearts.
Earlier, former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and President of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mehbooba Mufti, also conveyed warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. In her message, she emphasized peace, harmony, and human solidarity, while also expressing concern over the humanitarian challenges currently facing Iran.
The official PDP account on X shared, “Mehbooba Mufti extended heartfelt greetings to everyone on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. She wished for the welfare and prosperity of the people and expressed hope that this festival would strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, bringing peace and stability to Jammu and Kashmir and the entire country. She reminded everyone of the true essence of Eid, which includes compassion, gratitude, and remembering the less fortunate.”
Highlighting the spiritual significance of Eid-ul-Fitr, she noted that it symbolizes the end of the holy month of Ramadan. This festival provides an opportunity to recommit oneself to integrity, honesty, self-discipline, patience, and piety, while also expressing gratitude to Allah for the strength gained through fasting.
