New Mumbai, August 8: Working in the railway sector is a dream for millions of youth. If you are among them, Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) has announced an official notification inviting applications for 134 apprentice trainee positions under a special drive and the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS).
The vacancies include 24 positions for BE Civil Engineering, 18 for BE Electrical Engineering, 8 for BE Electronics Engineering, 10 for BE Mechanical Engineering, 20 for Diploma (Civil), 12 for Diploma (Electrical), 7 for Diploma (Electronics), 15 for Diploma (Mechanical), and 20 for General Stream Graduates.
Selection for these positions will be based on document verification, physical fitness, and a merit list. Selected candidates for the Graduate Apprentice posts will receive a stipend of ₹6,150 during training, while those chosen for Technician (Diploma) Apprentice positions will receive ₹5,450 per month.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and not older than 25 years, with age calculated as of January 1. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
Candidates participating in document verification must hold a BE/BTech degree in Civil/Electrical/Electronics and Power Engineering/Information Technology/Communication Engineering/Computer Science and Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Mechanical/Industrial/Automobile/Production Engineering or a related field for Graduate Engineer posts. For Technician (Diploma) Apprentice posts, a diploma in the same fields is required.
For the Graduate Apprentice posts, candidates must have a degree in any General Stream, such as Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Management Science, Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication, or Bachelor of Business Studies.
Document verification will take place between August 24 and 28 at the ‘Executives Club, Konkan Rail Vihar, Sector-40, in front of Seawoods Railway Station (West), Navi Mumbai-400706’. Registration for candidates will occur on the same day from 9 AM to 12 PM. All candidates are advised to arrive on time and bring a hard copy of the filled application form along with original and photocopies of all relevant documents.
Document verification for BE Civil Engineering, Diploma (Civil), and BE Electronics Engineering will be held on August 24; for BE Electrical Engineering, Diploma (Electrical), and Diploma (Electronics) on August 25; for BE Mechanical Engineering and Diploma (Mechanical) on August 27; and for General Stream Graduates on August 28.
