
Umaria, October 1 (Daily Kiran) : Umaria is buzzing with excitement as the renowned Bandhavgarh National Park reopens its gates to tourists for the new safari season starting October 1. After a three-month closure due to the monsoon, the park is once again alive with visitors eager to experience its abundant wildlife.
On the first day of the season, a significant number of tourists flocked to Bandhavgarh from various states, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Goa. The park’s online bookings for the new season have reportedly filled up quickly, indicating a strong interest from both domestic and international travelers.
Visitors are particularly enthusiastic about spotting tigers, as Bandhavgarh is known for having one of the highest populations of tigers in India. However, the park’s rich biodiversity, dense forests, and stunning natural beauty also attract those keen to observe other wildlife.
Tourists shared their experiences upon arrival. Anahita, a visitor from Goa, expressed her excitement about finally participating in a safari at Bandhavgarh, a long-held dream of hers. With her birthday on October 2, she hopes to make unforgettable memories during her visit.
Amy, a traveler from the United States, noted that she has been visiting Bandhavgarh since 2017. It was here that she saw her first tiger, making the park a special place for her. She has since seen tigers in various locations, but Bandhavgarh holds a unique charm.
First-time visitor Shekhar mentioned that he chose Bandhavgarh for its reputation as one of the best places for tiger sightings.
The forest department and park management have made extensive preparations to welcome tourists. Field Director Anupam Sahay confirmed that the first day saw a large influx of visitors, including international tourists. To ensure safety and convenience, the safari routes have been well-maintained, and arrangements for guides and vehicles are operating smoothly.
Sahay emphasized that the park management is fully prepared to address any visitor needs and has implemented special instructions to ensure compliance with the park’s regulations.
