Eastern Railway Promotes RailOne App to Simplify Travel Experience

Kolkata, March 7: Eastern Railway is urging passengers to stop ‘app hopping’ and switch to the new all-in-one ‘RailOne’ app. Launched as part of a week-long campaign, the initiative aims to popularize the app among travelers. General Manager Milind Deoskar has appealed to passengers, railway staff, and the general public to download the RailOne app, use its features, and spread the word.

The campaign is active across all divisions and workshops of Eastern Railway. Awareness is being raised through stalls at major stations and crowded areas, where brochures are distributed and demonstrations are conducted. Today, promotional activities took place at Howrah, Rampurhat, Bandel, and Bardhaman stations in the Howrah division. Passengers were informed that the RailOne app offers ticket booking, train status, PNR checks, coach position, live train location, food ordering, the RailMadad helpline, and many other services—all on a single platform.

Similar campaigns were held in the Sealdah division at Sealdah, Dum Dum, Sodepur, Barrackpore, Naihati, and Kanchrapara stations. In the Malda division, stalls were set up at Malda Town, Sahibganj, Bhagalpur, and Jamalpur stations, while the Asansol division featured activities at Asansol, Durgapur, and Jasidih stations. Scouts and Guides volunteers actively participated alongside railway staff, encouraging passengers to switch to the RailOne app for a seamless experience in the digital age.

Highlighting the app’s features, an Eastern Railway official stated that this super app enables passengers to book local/express train tickets, platform tickets, check live train status, view coach positions, check PNR status, order food through IRCTC, seek assistance from RailMadad, and access numerous other services—all within seconds. Previously, passengers had to use multiple apps like IRCTC, NTES, UTS, and RailMadad; now, everything is available in one app.

During the campaign, feedback was collected from passengers. Many reported that having all services in one app saves both time and data. Eastern Railway aims for more passengers to adopt the RailOne app and make this digital initiative a success. General Manager Milind Deoskar stated, “The RailOne app is a means to make travel easier, faster, and safer. Say goodbye to app hopping and switch to RailOne.”
