East Delhi Riders Triumph Over Outer Delhi Warriors in DPL 2026 Match

New Delhi, August 21: In a thrilling encounter of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2026, the East Delhi Riders showcased their prowess by defeating the Outer Delhi Warriors by 7 wickets. Chasing a target of 135 runs set by Outer Delhi, East Delhi achieved their goal in just 15.5 overs, losing 3 wickets in the process.

The East Delhi Riders did not have the best start in their innings. Sujal Singh was dismissed for 13 runs after facing 15 balls, while Hardik Sharma was clean bowled by Harsh Tyagi at a score of 13. Yashvardhan Oberoi also struggled, managing only 18 runs before being dismissed.

However, Kavyya Gupta anchored the innings, scoring a remarkable 48 runs off 32 balls. His innings included 4 fours and 2 sixes, and he remained unbeaten. Vaibhav Baisla contributed significantly as well, scoring 32 runs off 23 balls with the help of 1 four and 3 sixes, leading his team to victory.

On the bowling front, Harsh Tyagi was the standout performer for East Delhi Riders, taking 2 wickets, while Navdeep Saini claimed 1 wicket.

Earlier, the Outer Delhi Warriors were bowled out for 134 runs in 19.1 overs. Their innings got off to a rocky start, with Priyansh Arya scoring only 9 runs and Yajus Sharma falling for 6 runs. Captain Siddharth Sharma managed 18 runs before being dismissed by Aashish. The team struggled to maintain their wickets and could not last the full 20 overs.

Harsh Tyagi was the top scorer for Outer Delhi, making 36 runs, while Shivam Sharma added 19 runs off 15 balls. In terms of bowling, Mayank Yadav from East Delhi Riders excelled with 3 wickets for just 22 runs, and Aashish Meena also took 3 wickets, conceding 25 runs.
