Dinesh Sharma Advocates for Respecting Women Amid Political Controversy

Lucknow, June 14: The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a firm stance regarding derogatory and misleading comments circulating on social media about the daughter of Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Akhilesh Yadav. Following directives from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the police have registered an FIR and initiated an investigation into the matter.

BJP MP and former Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma condemned the act, stating in an interview, “Whoever committed this act has crossed all boundaries of decency and decorum. The respect for women in families must be upheld at all times. Misusing their names to spread false information is not merely a political issue; it is a matter of women’s dignity.”

He supported the Chief Minister’s directives, asserting that the perpetrators should not receive any leniency and must face strict action.

In Rampur, Maulana Jameel Hayat also responded to the incident, labeling it as extremely condemnable. He remarked that Akhilesh Yadav has been a former Chief Minister, and posting such misleading and insulting comments about anyone’s daughter is a despicable act. He emphasized that those who engage in such behavior are beyond the bounds of humanity and contribute to spreading hatred in society.

It is noteworthy that a few days ago, during an event in Azamgarh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed this issue. He stated that as soon as he became aware of the false statements circulating about Akhilesh Yadav’s daughter on social media, he promptly instructed the police to file an FIR. The Chief Minister made it clear that any comments disrespecting a daughter would not be tolerated. He also urged all political parties and their supporters to use restrained language in public discourse.
