Dharmendra Yadav Criticizes CM Yogi, Calls for Accountability on Law and Order Issues

Azamgarh, September 22 (Daily Kiran) : Azamgarh, September 22 — Dharmendra Yadav, a Member of Parliament from the Samajwadi Party, has sharply criticized Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath following the latter’s recent comments regarding Sanatan Dharma. Yadav asserted that Adityanath has no authority to issue certificates to anyone, emphasizing that while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was established in 1980, Sanatan Dharma has existed for centuries. He urged political leaders not to position themselves as the sole representatives of Sanatan.

Yadav further stated that the Chief Minister should focus on addressing pressing issues related to law and order in the state rather than making claims about religious authority. He raised concerns about the rising incidents of violence, including murders and attacks on women, questioning why such events continue to plague Uttar Pradesh. “The Chief Minister must answer these questions, as he leads the state government,” he said.

In addition to law enforcement issues, Yadav highlighted the plight of farmers and unemployment among youth. He questioned the lack of expected growth in farmers’ incomes and the high unemployment rates affecting young people. He also referenced the ongoing paper leak scandals, which he claimed jeopardize the futures of millions of youths. “These serious matters concerning the youth’s future require the Chief Minister’s attention,” he added.

Yadav did not shy away from commenting on Congress MP Imran Masood’s recent statements, advising the Congress leadership to be cautious with their public remarks. He expressed confidence that Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav would strengthen the opposition ahead of the 2027 assembly elections.

Reflecting on the performance of the INDIA coalition in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Yadav expressed optimism for an even greater success in the upcoming assembly elections. He believes that with the collaboration of Gandhi and Yadav, the latter could secure a significant majority as Chief Minister. “There should be no doubt about this; those who are skeptical should wait until the elections,” he remarked.

Regarding the assembly elections, Yadav noted that while the Election Commission determines the dates, the Samajwadi Party is fully prepared for the upcoming political contest.
