Bilaspur, March 19: The commencement of Chaitra Navratri has drawn large crowds to temples across the country. Devotees are lining up from the early hours to seek divine blessings from the goddess.
At the revered Maa Baglamukhi Temple in Madhya Pradesh’s Nalkheda, worshippers have been seen waiting for hours to catch a glimpse of the deity. Many devotees expressed their joy at being able to witness the divine presence.
One female devotee shared her experience, stating that she visits Maa Baglamukhi every year during Navratri. This year, she was fortunate to have darshan on the very first day. She noted that performing rituals here helps eliminate negativity from life, and many come specifically for special havans during this auspicious time. She has been visiting the temple for the past 15 years.
Another devotee mentioned that he has been coming to the temple for 20 years during Navratri and always participates in the havan. He believes that the rituals not only provide peace of mind but also help resolve life’s challenges.
Meanwhile, in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, the Shri Naina Devi Temple also witnessed a significant influx of devotees on the first day of Chaitra Navratri. Worshippers arrived with red cloth and coconuts, seeking to fulfill their wishes. After the aarti, the temple’s light was paraded around the premises.
The temple administration, in collaboration with the district magistrate, has made arrangements for the convenience of the devotees. District Magistrate Rahul Kumar stated, “Today, we held a meeting with all our officials and non-government members. We have addressed key issues related to law and order and traffic management. Additional magistrates have been deployed, and the command and control center is fully operational. Arrangements have been finalized for the influx of devotees at various locations, and medical facilities are also in place to address any issues.”
