Gandhinagar: Gujarat’s Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi chose to celebrate his birthday this year with simplicity, compassion, and a spirit of service. Instead of a grand event or formal gathering, he spent his special day among children and those in need.
On 8 January, Sanghavi visited the residential school for differently-abled and tribal children located in Sector-8, Gandhinagar. He spent quality time with the students, engaging with them about their studies, lives, and aspirations. The joy on the children’s faces was evident, and Sanghavi appeared warm and approachable throughout his visit.
Sharing moments from the day on the social media platform ‘X’, the Deputy Chief Minister wrote, “An innocent child is the form of God! Celebrated my birthday happily with differently-abled children and girls from the tribal residential school.”
The day began with Sanghavi seeking blessings at the revered Devadidev Mahadev temple. He remarked that the holy darshan of Lord Mahadev filled him with energy and positivity.
Additionally, Sanghavi performed cow service at the Shri Swaminarayan Temple in Gandhinagar. Expressing his feelings on ‘X’, he said, “Cow service is a unique and sacred service to God. There could be no greater fortune on my birthday.”
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also extended his birthday wishes to Deputy CM Sanghavi. Posting on ‘X’, Patel wrote, “Heartfelt birthday greetings to my colleague Shri Harshbhai Sanghavi, Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat. Under your energetic leadership and guidance, the state is achieving new heights in law and order, industrial development, transport, youth empowerment, and tourism. May you continue your tireless efforts towards a developed India and Gujarat. Wishing you good health and long life.”
On this occasion, various programmes were scheduled in Gandhinagar and Surat, where Sanghavi planned to meet people and participate in social activities.
