Haryana to Seal 11 Factories Contributing to Air Pollution Soon: Deputy Commissioner Virender Dahiya

Paniapat, March 14: The Haryana State Pollution Control Board has taken decisive action against several factories in the NCR region that are contributing to air pollution. Following orders from the Air Quality Management Commission (CAQM), operations at four factories have already been halted. Additionally, 11 more factories are set to be sealed soon.

Deputy Commissioner Virender Dahiya stated that the CAQM monitors the entire NCR area to ensure compliance with air quality standards. This time, the commission identified a list of factories whose air control devices were not functioning properly. These factories were increasing pollution levels, posing a potential health risk to the public. Consequently, the commission directed immediate action.

Dahiya confirmed that operations at four factories have been suspended, and the remaining 11 will soon face sealing. This action targets those factories whose air pollution control equipment is malfunctioning.

He emphasized that any factory failing to operate its air pollution control system is not only violating regulations but also endangering public health. Therefore, the commission and the state pollution control board’s team are continuously monitoring the situation.

It is noteworthy that the government is serious about tackling air pollution and is strictly enforcing regulations to keep the air clean in Delhi-NCR and surrounding areas. If any factory fails to comply with these regulations, it faces legal action and strict measures such as sealing. In this context, operations at four factories have already been halted, and stringent actions against 11 more factories may follow soon.
