Demand for Action Against Drug Traffickers Who Attacked Syed Khalid Ashraf and His Children

Mumbai, April 14: The President of the All India Sunni Jamiat-ul-Ulama, Hazrat Allama Maulana Syed Moin Miyan, along with Hazrat Alhaj Mohammad Saeed Noori, the head of Raza Academy, met with Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti to submit a letter. The letter demands strict action against the drug traffickers involved in the attack on Syed Khalid Ashraf and his children.

In the letter, they highlighted that Syed Khalid Ashraf, based in the centuries-old Khanqah Ashrafiya in Kichhocha Sharif, Uttar Pradesh, is actively working to raise awareness among youth about the dangers of substance abuse.

Syed Khalid has dedicated his life to steering young people towards a healthier and more responsible lifestyle. It is deeply unfortunate that his noble initiative is being opposed by drug traffickers. Their illegal activities are being challenged by his awareness campaigns. This incident is not just an attack on an individual; it is an assault on social reform and the collective efforts to eradicate substance abuse from our society. If such elements are not dealt with firmly, it may discourage others from contributing to this vital cause.

The All India Sunni Jamiat-ul-Ulama has urged the Mumbai Police Commissioner to conduct a thorough and immediate investigation into the matter. They demand the identification and arrest of those involved in the attack, as well as strict action against active drug traffickers in the area. Additionally, they called for adequate protection for individuals and activists working against drug abuse. They emphasized that swift action would help restore public trust in the law.
