Delhi Chief Minister Honors Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on His 135th Birth Anniversary

New Delhi, April 14: On the occasion of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s 135th birth anniversary, tributes are being paid across the nation. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta visited the Ambedkar Memorial to pay her respects and lay a floral tribute. She emphasized that Babasaheb Ambedkar is one of the strongest pillars of Indian democracy, which has laid a solid foundation for democracy in the country today.

Chief Minister Gupta stated that the Constitution provided by Babasaheb is not just a document but the very soul of India. She noted that every citizen will remember Babasaheb for generations, as he laid the foundation of equality, justice, and rights, which the entire nation continues to build upon today. She also mentioned that the Delhi government is working to follow Babasaheb’s path, striving to reach the last person in society with essential services.

In a conversation with the media, Gupta highlighted that the government is continuously formulating policies to enhance the dignity and quality of life for every individual. She remarked that Babasaheb always advocated for equality and social justice, and this ideology is guiding the development initiatives in Delhi. She expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to pay homage to Babasaheb.

Meanwhile, BJP MP Arun Singh also paid tribute to Babasaheb, stating that he is not only the architect of the Constitution but also a source of inspiration for every citizen today. He mentioned that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, five significant sites related to Babasaheb have been developed, and several historic steps have been taken to honor him.

Singh added that organizing special discussions and programs on Constitution Day is also a part of showing respect to Babasaheb. He called for a collective commitment to follow the path laid out by Babasaheb and to uphold the Constitution with integrity.
