Debina Banerjee Makes Her Producer Debut with Tum Mere Ho
Actress Debina Banerjee partners with husband Gurmeet Chaudhary to produce romantic drama Tum Mere Ho, marking her debut in film production.

Mumbai, October 16 (Daily Kiran) : Actress Debina Banerjee is stepping into the role of producer with the upcoming romantic drama film “Tum Mere Ho.” She revealed that the idea for the film originated from her husband, actor Gurmeet Chaudhary, and she has merely supported him throughout the process.
Together, the couple has launched their own production house, “Debguru Films,” under which “Tum Mere Ho” will be their first release. In a recent interview, Banerjee shared that Chaudhary had a vision for the type of films he wanted to create, prompting their decision to produce their own projects.
“The idea for the film was Gurmeet’s,” she stated. “I was just observing him as he was quite restless, knowing exactly what kind of film he wanted to make. He is a romantic hero, yet he often found himself in action-packed roles on OTT platforms and elsewhere. While he enjoys action, he also has a beautiful romantic side that his expressions convey. He felt that the scripts he was looking for weren’t available. Not many have the courage to create what they want when they can’t find it.”
Banerjee also discussed the differences between being a producer and an actor. She explained that as an actor, one focuses primarily on their character and performance. In contrast, a producer must oversee every detail on set, from budgeting to managing the entire team.
“I believe acting and filmmaking are phases where you primarily focus on your own work,” she said. “However, as a producer, you have to manage everything, including the script, schedules, costumes, budgets, and locations. You can’t just say that something isn’t your responsibility. As a producer, you have to handle various departments and issues, and when something goes wrong, it’s up to you to resolve it.”
