Cultural Exchange: Chinese and Vietnamese First Ladies Visit National Center for the Performing Arts

Beijing, April 16: The wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Peng Liyuan, and Ngo Phuong Lien, the wife of Vietnamese President To Lam, visited the National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing.

During their visit, Peng Liyuan and Ngo Phuong Lien toured the opera theater, the virtual reality creation space, and the recording studio. They explored how the arts center supports artistic creation, provides cultural services, and facilitates international cultural exchanges.

While there, they observed rehearsals of traditional Chinese dance and recordings of choral performances. Peng Liyuan expressed hope that cultural institutions and artists from both countries would collaborate in various ways to enhance friendship between their nations and peoples.

Ngo Phuong Lien thanked Peng Liyuan for her warm hospitality and praised the achievements in the development of Chinese culture. She also expressed a desire to strengthen exchanges in the cultural and artistic sectors between the two countries, further fostering their friendship.
