Chinese Sports Delegation Established for Asian Beach Games

Beijing, April 16: The Chinese sports delegation for the Asian Beach Games was officially established on April 15 in Beijing. This delegation consists of 255 members, including 171 athletes. Apart from beach kabaddi, Chinese competitors will participate in 60 events across 13 sports.

The Asian Beach Games, organized by the Olympic Council of Asia, is the largest multi-sport beach event in Asia. The sixth edition of the games will take place in Sanya, Hainan Province, marking the first major international sports event following the establishment of the Hainan Free Trade Port, which allows for extensive customs operations.

Approximately 1,800 athletes from 45 countries and regions will compete in the Sanya Beach Games. A total of 62 events across 14 sports will be contested, including 3×3 basketball, beach track and field, beach wrestling, beach football, beach handball, sailing, and more.

The opening ceremony of the Sanya Beach Games is scheduled for April 22, with the closing ceremony set for April 30.
